Carry Champions

What happens once the player gets ahead. The carry column is how much better than an average champion a champion turns that lead into a win, measured against its own overall win rate. The team does not have to be behind: this page looks for the player who decides the game.

Comeback champions: who turns the game around after the whole team falls behind

Best carries

How this is measured

Getting ahead is read at minute 15: the player is ahead of their lane opponent in gold and experience, and leads their own team in gold. The team does not have to be behind, and that is the whole difference from the comeback page: that one conditions on the team, this one on the player.

The number shown is a difference of differences. A champion's win rate in the games where the player got ahead is compared to its own overall win rate, and that gap is compared to the same gap across every champion. Raw rates cannot separate closing a game out from simply being strong: getting ahead is already worth 58.6% across the pool, against 50.0% overall.

Rates are shrunk towards the pool in proportion to sample size, so a thin sample cannot reach the top of the list. Games that ended before minute 15 write nothing at all: a remake is not a failed comeback.

0 champions carry a claim that clears three standard errors. Values that do not clear it are printed faded: with this many champions, a two sigma rule would produce false positives by chance alone. Nothing on this page clears the threshold yet, so nothing here should be read as a claim.

Leading your team in gold carries something that is easy to misread: most of the time it also means the rest of the team is not ahead. Across the pool a player who is only ahead of their lane opponent wins 62.1%, while a player who also leads the team in gold wins 58.6%. The lower number is not weakness, it is the situation being measured, and the baseline already accounts for it.

This page is about games that reached minute 15 in ranked Solo/Duo. It does not measure lane matchups, and it says nothing about why a team fell behind; for lane by lane numbers see the counters page of each champion.
